11 MPs submit details of assets

ISLAMABAD: After the cancellation of their membership by the Election Commission of Pakistan, 11 parliamentarians submitted their and their families’ yearly statements of assets and liabilities, on Wednesday. The legislators who had not turned up earlier despite repeated reminders by the ECP but have now submitted details of their assets after cancellation of their memberships include one senator, three MNAs, two members of Sindh Assembly and five members of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. They are Senator Faisal Raza Abidi and MNAs Abdul Rehman Khan Kanju (NA-155 Lodhran-II), Shah Jahan Baloch (NA-248 Karachi-X) and Alizeh Iqbal Haider who was elected against the seat reserved for women. The MPAs who have submitted details of their assets are Bashir Ahmed Halipoto (PS-55 Badin-cum-TM Khan(I) Old Badin-I) and Jameel Ahmed Bhurgari (PS-67 Mirpurkhas-cum-Umerkot-Old Mirpur Khas-IV) from Sindh Assembly and Muhammad Khan Bahadur (PK-23 Mardan-I), Muhammad Zahid Khan Durrani (PK-24 Mardan-II), Iftikhar Ali Mashwani (PK-26 Mardan-IV), Ziaullah Khan Bangash (PK-38 Kohat-II) and Sardar Zahoor Ahmed (PK-53 Mansehra-I) from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
