4 terrorists arrested in NW Pakistan

Police in the restive Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of northwestPakistan today arrested four suspected terrorists and seized 840 kg of explosives from them. The men were arrested when security officers raided a gathering in the provincial capital of Peshawar after a tip-off. There was an exchange of fire between police and the suspects that lasted an hour. However, the officers managed to subdue the men and arrested them. The explosives were packed in sacks and brought to Peshawar from the tribal areas, Express News channel reported. The province, and especially Peshawar, has been hit by deadly bomb blasts that have killed scores in the recent past. Recently, over 80 people died when two Taliban suicide bombers struck a church here.
