ECP to suspend NA, PA members for not submitting asset details

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to suspend the National Assembly and Provincial Assembly Members who have not submitted the details of their assets. ECP had announced the deadline of 30th September to submit the details of assets. Approximately 50 members, including Rehman Malik, Asad Umer and Mustafa Kamal, have not submitted the details of their assets. Nine members from National Assembly, four from Senate, nine from Punjab Assembly, 11 from Sindh Assembly, 22 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and six members of Balochistan Assembly have not submitted the details as of yet. They will also not be allowed to attend meetings of the Assembly sessions. According to ECP, 1099 members of National and Provincial Assembly have submitted the details.
