Ex-IGP of KP to head National Police Bureau

PESHAWAR: The former inspector general of police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ihsan Ghani, was posted as director general National Police Bureau in Islamabad on Friday. Ihsan Ghani was serving as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IGP till the last week of September. He was posted as head of the provincial police in April to conduct free, fair and peaceful elections.Despite launching a number of initiatives to reform the force, Ihsan Ghani was replaced by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf provincial government for having many close relatives in Pakistan People’s Party. He was replaced by Nasir Khan Durrani as PTI wanted to have him as its police chief.
