Minister asks Hoti to expose 'corrupt' elements

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations, Shah Farman has asked Senator Azam Khan Hoti to reveal the names of those who had looted the public exchequer in previous regime and show the place where they had kept this money so that the people could become aware of the deeds of the so-called representatives of Pakhtuns.

He said that if Azam Khan Hoti was sincere with the people of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he should expose those elements whose corruption he says had deteriorated the economic condition of the province.

He said the government would provide him all support in this regard. Shah Farman advised Azam Khan Hoti that if his health was not well he should immediately disclose facts about corruption of the previous government. He expressed these views while talking to a representative delegation of constituency PK-10 at his office, Peshawar on Monday. Provincial Information Minister said that the people should have right over national wealth and resources and no one would be allowed to loot the national exchequer.

He said everyone was accountable for each and every penny of the nation and all the looters of the national exchequer in the past would be exposed. He said that the bill of Ehtesab Commission had been tabled to Provincial Assembly, which would soon be established. The minister said that the day of looters and plunderers were numbered. PTI believed in self-accountability. The establishment of Ehtesab Commission and promulgation of Right to Information law was a clear proof of presenting PTI leadership to self-accountability.

Shah Farman said the people had elected their public representatives through their votes so the people should have the power to be aware of the decisions taken about them. He further said that the rulers in the past had given nothing to people except deprivation and disappointment.
