Nawaz says fund to be set up for KP terrorism victims


PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has announced to setup a fund for the victims of the Peshawar Church bombing.

Speaking to the media after chairing a high-level meeting on law and order, Prime Minister Sharif said that the Federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments would contribute to the Rs 200 million trust fund which would be established for members of the Christian community affected by terrorism. The fund will also be used for the welfare of the Christian community.

Condemning the bombing, the prime minister added that the attack on the place of worship was tantamount to an assault on Pakistan.

The prime minister also expressed his concern for terrorist attacks, adding that extraordinary laws were required to deal with extraordinary conditions. He also informed the media that a special anti-terrorism force would be formulated.
