Over terrorist attacks: rumpus witnessed at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session.

The first-day of the opposition requisitioned session of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly witnessed worst rumpus over the recent three major terrorist attacks in the provincial metropolis, which claimed the lives of at least 155 and injuring more than 300 innocent people. None of the infuriated legislators was ready to hear the arguments of each other. Giving no heed to the repeated requests of Deputy Speaker, Imtiaz Shahid Qureshi for maintaining order the lawmakers from both opposition and treasury benches continued shouting and presenting arguments from their desks making noise where none of them could understand their points. At one stage, the deputy parliamentary leader of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Nighat Orakzai, moved towards the minority MPA sitting on the treasury benches, Soran Singh challenging him to come out. She was, however, persuaded by her party parliamentary leader Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha and others from opposition benches.
The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) women legislators also came out from their desks to encircle Nighat Orakzai but the timely interference by the opposition members saved untoward incident. The opposition legislators started protest when the PTI's minority MPA Soran Singh tried to respond the points raised by them saying he along with the ministers and party's activists were in the hospital to help the victims of the blasts. He said the government was providing every facility to the victims of the blasts but some opposition parties were playing politics on bodies. Another two minority MPAs including Askar Pervez and Fredric Azeem Ghori, who were constantly interfering in Soran Singh speech protested over his remarks and insisted they would not allow the proceeding until he did not take his words back. They ended the protest when Singh clarified his position and withdrew his remarks. The opposition legislators once again started protest when the PTI women MPA from Hazara, Maleha Tanveer accused the PPP and ANP government and responded "shame, shame on the previous rulers," Almost all the opposition members stood up asking the treasury benches to use parliamentary language. Taking the floor, the Senior Minister Siraj-ul-Haq asked both the treasury and opposition members to present suggestions to cope with the situation instead of accusing each other. He said the minister for health would present a detailed report of the victims in Hospitals and would improve the situation if there was any problem. He said they could not and would not support the harsh attitude of any one including that of the PPP MPA Nighat Orakzai who rolled up her sleeves and moved towards them and the harsh word used by Soran Singh. The minister for law and parliamentary affairs Israrullah Khan Gandapore later sought forgiveness on behalf of the government if any of the treasury members hurt the feelings of any other members. Soon after the recitation of the Holy Quran, the House offered fateha for the departed souls and extended sympathies with the victims of the three blasts in Peshawar. The House also offered one minute silence to mourn the tragic death of the Christian community in Peshawar Church. The emotionally charged opposition members including the JUI-F Lutur Rehmanm ANP's Sardar Hussain Babak, PPP's Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha, Nighat Orakzai, minority MPA Askar Pervez, JUI-F's Mufti Janan, PML-N's Arbab Akbar Hayat, minority's Soran Singh, PTI's Maleeha Tanveer in their details speeches termed the existing situation as sensitive, which they said could be controlled through collective measures. In his wind up speech, Minister for Health Shaukat Yousafzai said they were installing Bio Metric System in Churches and would establish best burn units within six months, where the injured would be getting every facility. He said they would also ensure free medical treatment in the ICRC hospital.
