PML-F Imtiaz Shaikh Rejects Proposed Amendment in Local Government

Karachi: Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) General Secretary Imtiaz Shaikh terming the proposed amendment in the Peoples’ Local Government Ordinance 2012 as deliberate political conspiracy declined to accept the changing in the ordinance. He said that since the Sindh government has now realized their services to the local people so they should also take back their decision of separating the Sindh province. On Wednesday, Imtiaz Shaikh spoke while briefing a press conference outside his residence that no change is brought with the amendments in the laws and ordinances and hence such decisions should be taken back. Our motto is still the same and we decline to accept the amendment, he added. In reply to a question he said that the controversial municipal law is a big issue and no compromise can be made on it. He said that PPP is losing the support of its coalition parties due to its weak policies. Imtiaz suggested that the present government through the co-ordination of the stake holders should enforce the caretaker government. Plans have been made of pre-polling, for the promotion and exchange of the activities, political bribe is being given. He answered in response to a question that no contacts have been made with the PPP in relation to the matter. Imtiaz further said that the U turn taken by Aghar Siraj Durrani is a victory of Pir Pagara vision. Earlier before delegates from Aurat foundation met the functional league members and proposed their suggestions for the women rights. On the occasion Jam Madad, Pappu Shah, Kashif Nizamani, Faqeer Jadum Mangrio, Mir Muhammad Khokhar, Shehryar Mehr and others were present.
