Punjab Government to Distribute Tablet PCs in Schools

Lahore: Punjab government has put efforts to increasing the education standards in the province. This time after the distribution of free laptops to the university students, the government has decided of introducing tablets PCs to the students from six to tenth standard, sources have reported. Advertisement Like every political party, PML-N enforces to bettering the educational system. Plan has been devised of introducing tablet PCs to the students of all schools in the Punjab province. Soon the bags fully loaded with heavy books, copies and stationary items, would be replaced by light weight tablets. The curriculum of all the subjects would be installed in the hi-tech mobile device. Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashood talking upon the matter said that the provincial government is working towards providing tablets to the students. The books would be installed in them. Hence it would be easy for the students to carry their daily learning materials. Talking to media the Minister said that a British firm and computer software company has been shortlisted for purpose. Next month we would enter into agreement with them in the presence of the Prime Minister, he added. It was further told upon that each tablet would cost Rs. 5000 for its production.
