Roadside bomb kills 2 in Peshawar


PESHAWAR: At least two people were killed and 11 others wounded when a roadside bomb struck a police vehicle here on Sunday morning, SAMAA reports.


The explosion took place near a dispensary in Budhbir area of Peshawar.

‘Two people, including a police moharir, have been killed in the blast," SSP Operations Najeeb ur told reporters in Peshawar. "Police had initially got information about the death of six people."

The second victim, Fida Khan, was head of a local peace committee.

Bomb disposal squad says that they have defused two more bombs found from the blast site. Four to five kilograms of explosives were used in the blast, according to the BDS.

Dr Arshad Javed, Chief Executive of Lady Reading Hospital, said 11 people were brought to hospital. – SAMAA
