PESHAWAR: NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today arrested a serving Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Department for allegedly making illegal assets worth million of rupees.
As per details, the case of illegal assets of the accused was primarily unearthed following various complaints regarding illegal detention of innocent people. Taking cognizance of the high handedness, the honorable Peshawar court directed Director General NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to investigate the illegal assets of the accused.
In compliance with the directives of the honorable court, NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorized an inquiry into the matter and an FIR was lodged against the accused. The findings of the investigations detected illegal properties worth millions of rupees made during his tenure as Station House Officer, Hayatabad.
