PESHAWAR (APP): A spokesman for the Khyber Pakhtunkwa Government has termed misleading the impression created by the reported protest demonstrations held in Mansehra against the government decision regarding the transfer and posting of DPO Mansehra Abdul Ghafoor Afridi. The protest demonstrations have created the impression that the police officer was transferred on external pressure for taking action against criminals. The spokesman while clarifying the factual position has stated that the decision about the transfer of Abdul Ghafoor Afridi was taken after the transfer of DIG DIKhan and his posting as CCPO Peshawar. He said that transfer and posting of Abdul Ghafoor, as DIG DIKhan was made purely on merit in the public interest keeping in view the sensitive nature of the district adding that no political motives were behind the decision.
