PESHAWAR: Provincial Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Professor Mohammad Ibrahim Khan has said his party being a part of coalition government in KP was committed to root corruption out from bottom to top in the province.
He expressed his view points in a gathering of his party workers held in Almarkaz-e-Islami on Sunday said PTI, JI and other parties had been jointly endeavoring to establish peace in province and end the US influence in region. Provincial naib Ameer, Dr Iqbal Khalil, Ameer Peshawar district, Behr Ullah Advocate and secretary general Hamd Ullah Badani were also in attendance.
Mr Ibrahim in his address claimed his party had become a prominent one in KP and appealed party activists to serve masses in their respective areas. Workers of Alkhidmat Foundation promptly provided all services during natural calamities and bomb blasts in KP won the hearts of people, he claimed.
He accused officials of spy agencies of distributing seats among their loved one parties in recent general elections despite JI had won few seats in several constituencies. Talking on the result of general elections, he said and adding his party for the sake of democracy and peace acknowledged the results of general elections in 2013 despite having reservations.
In 2004 local body elections in Peshawar, the JI due to hard work of party members had got achievements while this time, the party would not allow anyone to resort rigging in LG polls, provincial Ameer stated. His party is committed to enforce Islamic system in the country, he informed.
Behr Ullah speaking on the occasion claimed his party provincial ministers were free from any charges of corruption as they were trying all the day long to solve problems of people. His party had completed homework for upcoming local body elections and would get success in it, he claimed.
