Haunted by violence

Terrorism continues to haunt the country while the leaders seem helpless and reluctant in tackling it. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa lost its law minister and other precious lives on Eid day. The government is taking unnecessarily long to initiate dialogue with the militants because of the complicated nature of the groups. There are numerous factions of the Taliban and nobody really knows how to sift through the good and bad Taliban.
Apart from that, LOC violations have become a routine affair. Our appeasement policy is not yielding any results, our prime minister was too optimistic about the meeting with his Indian counterpart and the results are before us. We need out-of-box solutions to avert this grave danger challenging our existence.
The prime minister and the chief minister of Punjab need to involve more experts to tackle the issue without any further delay.
