Without an operation, Karachi would have become another KP - Zardari


SUKKHUR: Former president Asif Ali Zardari has said had an operation not been conducted in Karachi, the situation would have been worse than that of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

He also put a challenge to the present government saying whatever they could not do during their government, the PML-N should do it. He said that the targeted operation in Karachi was progressing well.

The former president, addressing a PPP meeting at the Naudero House, Larkana, said had the Karachi operation not Karachi Operation had not been initiated, then the situation would have been similar to that in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The PPP leader informed in his address that he has instructed the chief minister of Sindh to recruit more men in the police and the best Police officers.While commenting on ties with the Prime Minister, former president added that they would also say ‘go ahead Nawaz Sharif, we are with you’, if he would make better decisions.

He said that he reserved his right to criticise upon the policies of the Mian Nawaz Sharif’s regime. He said that owing to the Afghan War, there was a deteriorated situation in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that Sindh was producing Gas and Oil, so its royalty is a right of Sindh according to the 18th amendment.

He said that he did not want to see languished conflicts nor religious conflicts and said that such forces would be crushed because these forces are harmful for the nations’ survival. He said that he wanted to see a stable federation and added that he had promised the people of Pakistan in Garhi Khuda Baksh to bring Change and it will come.

He said that there are some decisions pending in the Election Tribunals and said that decisions of the Election Tribunal will restrengthen the PPPP’s seats. He said that Sindh government will prepare future policies in favour of the people of Sindh and there will be good governance. Former president said that he, in capacity of the president of Pakistan had visited almost all countries of the world. He noted “From Africa to Asia, the rulers were dethroned and there was much bloodshed, but he smoothly transferred his Powers.

On the occasion, CM Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah Jillani said that certain political parties were against PPP in the general elections, but the people of Sindh had rejected them and given mandate to PPPP.
