Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah has advised students to focus on their studies, make best use of the available facilities and get them prepared in their respective disciplines for taking over future responsibilities successfully.
Talking to a group of students, hailing from Fata who called on him at Governor's House here on Sunday, the Governor also told them that both their parents and the government have been putting their hard earned resources for ensuring their better future and it is now up to them to apply them in a better way for their well-being.
The delegation led by Akhtar Gul while apprising the Governor about their point of views requested to enhance volume as well as number of scholarships for the students of Fata.
They also requested to approach the organisations engaged in socio-economic uplift activities in Fata to give preference to local youth in provision of employment opportunities.
Responding to the requests of students, the Governor pointed out that it is clear policy of the government that all the public and private sector organisations engaged in development activities must have to give priority to local candidates for meeting their manpower requirements. He assured the delegation that he will take a detailed review of the situation on ground and will make sure that the policy of the government is implemented in letter and in spirit.
