ISLAMABAD: The jam-packed hall of the National Art Gallery, Islamabad, was all praise for the Mahsud dance at a cultural show organised by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture Department.
Though Pushtuns from all walks of life and ages living in Islamabad were present in majority, the non-Pushto speaking also witnessed the event in a large number. It included almost all colours of the Pakhtunkhwa including performances from well-organised Chitralis and Baltis but the audience were all praise for the Mahsuds who are pushed into war for over a decade. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Sajida Zulfiqar was the chief guest while Information and Culture Secretary Azmat Hanif Orkzai supervised the event. Besides the Mahsud troupe, there were also singers from different parts of the province including Chitralis, Baltis and Khattaks. The visitors also took keen interest in handicrafts displayed at various stalls set up there.
