New security plan for KP prepared: CM

NOWSHERA: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak Friday said that new security plan for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had been prepared and latest equipment would be purchased for the purpose.

Talking to reporters in Manki Sharif on Eid Day, he said that he was shocked over the attack on the minister.“It is beyond his understanding that on the one hand everyone is talking about negotiation while on the other hand innocent people are being killed.”

Pervez Khattak said that all religio-political parties had supported the federal government All Parties Conference for resolving disputes through peaceful means.However, he said, they were waiting for initiation of meaningful talks with the militants, adding that was why his party supported the jirga constituted for starting the talks process.

Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said that the government had directed high level inquiry into the suicide attack, adding that he was in contact with the interior minister. “New security plan for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been prepared and latest equipment would be purchased for the purpose,” he said.

Pervez Khattak said he would meet prime minister after Eid holidays to discuss law and order, talks and other important issues. He claimed that all the revolutionary steps his government had taken were dwarfed by terror acts.

“The issue of electricity and gas royalty, hydro power generation projects, and development budget would be taken up with the prime minister in the meeting,” Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said.
