PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amn Jirga on Saturday resented the government’s decision about increase in power tariff and termed it anti-people.
In a press statement, Amn Jirga Chairman Syed Kamal Shah said the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority increased power tariff despite the fact that the Supreme Court had declared it null and void.
He said the rulers pledged to solve the problems being faced by the people, but they didn’t honour commitment after making it into the corridors of power.
