Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police, Nasir Khan Durrani has directed police high ups to hold "Open Kutchery" in their respective areas to redress public complaints. These directives were given to all Regional Police Officers (RPOs) and District Police Officers (DPOs) throughout the province in a special circular issued from the CPO, here on Sunday.
In the circular, all RPOs have been directed to hold "Open Kutchery" twice in a month in their respective division while DPOs asked to hold "Open Kutchery" twice in a month in the far-flung areas of the district. They have further been directed to ensure presence of all SHOs concerned on the occasion and try to resolve people's problems on the spot.
They have also been asked if issues needed time then give fix time for their resolution.
They have also been instructed to send a comprehensive list of all the problems and complaints presented in "Open Kutchery" and steps taken for its solution by the police. It has also been directed to ensure foolproof security for the participants of Open Kutchery.
