Steps to improve judicial system in FATA okayed, says Governor

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah has approved concrete measures to streamline the judicial system in FATA; protect the basic rights of the respective people and ensure resolution of their grievances within shortest possible time. To make this possible, the Governor has approved creation of a new post of Assistant Political Agent (judicial) in each tehsil and to take immediate measures to constitute a team of 10 to 20 levy jawans in each agency for provision of Forensic training. 
Presiding over a high level meeting at Governor's House, Peshawar on Monday, the Governor said that solid measures are must for making the reforms process in FATA fully visible and practicable."All officers of the level of Assistant Political Agent should also be fully well versed to FCR law and for this purpose, a crash training programme should be launched", he said. 
Indeed, the Governor said, government has already taken useful measures to protect the basic rights of the people of FATA and help them in resolution of their difficulties through the reforms process, yet due to lack of administrative support, difficulties were being faced in realizing the desired objectives. He also expressed the confidence that with the posting of assistant political agents (judicial) and creation of proper investigation arrangement by equipping levy jawans with forensic techniques, the problems will be resolved to a great extent.
