Government to establish durable peace by holding dialogue, says Khattak

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha promised the people of the province that his government will actively support the coalition parties and realise the dream of durable peace through dialogue as well; he assured that life, honour and properties of the masses would be protected at all cost. 

He reiterated that our steps would usher in new era of progress and prosperity not only in KP but also in the entire country and the region; while cordial relation would be established with Afghanistan and central Asian states that would tantamount to peace and stability in the region. He said the measures taken by his govt would ensure rule of merit and law in the province and people would certainly feel justice and transparency in all govt affairs. 

Similarly, accountability and transparency would be introduced in all government affairs and working capacity of the govt machinery would be enhanced to provide relief to the poor in the real context. In his message the Chief Minister asked the people from all walks of life to uphold the philosophy of Eid-ul-Azha and demonstrate the true spirit of sacrifice for humanity. 

"The prosperity, peace, development and national integrity should be at the back of our minds while going for Eid-ul-Azha celebrations," he recalled. He said it is the need of the hour to promote mutual love and brotherhood in our ranks. "By doing so, we will prove ourselves that we are a living nation," he added. 

In his message, the Chief Minister said we are at the critical juncture of our history. Therefore, national cohesion and solidarity are more needed today than before. "We must stand as a cohesive force to deal with internal and external threats." He said our people are drawing new lines of sacrifices in the region not only for one another but also for entire Muslim fraternity and human beings. We have to be united and should not be divided on different lines while our unity would lead us to durable peace not only in our country but also in the entire region. 

The Chief Minister said Eid-ul-Azha taught us the lessons of sacrifice, sympathy and brotherhood with each other. "Since the present atmosphere of the country required mutual unity, fraternity and dedication to sacrifice for welfare of our brothers, therefore, we should start thinking above political affiliations", he exclaimed. 

He while giving Eid greetings to the Overseas Pakistanis especially Hajj pilgrims staying in Saudi Arabia, appealed them to offer special prayers for integrity of the country, peace, stability and prosperity of the people. Pervez Khattak also asked the well-to-dos to look in their surroundings and do not forget in their Eid joys of the poor and helpless people and share their Eid joys with them; that is the real philosophy of Eid-ul-Azha, he concluded.
