PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Shah Farman, has said that a dialogue with the Taliban was in progress.
Speaking to various delegations at his office, he said that if the talks were successful, it would be a defeat for those political circles who are opposing the talks. The minister said that denial of the Taliban regarding the Peshawar bomb blasts were a clear proof that anti-state elements were busy in sabotaging the peace process.
He said time had proved that the bomb blasts at public places were meant to harass the people and destroy the peaceful environment. He said the government was also in the process of investigating the parties assisting such anti-state elements. He said the Ehtesab Commission would be established and stern action would be taken against the corrupt.
