US wants to sabotage peace process: Siraj

DAGGAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister Sirajul Haq said on Sunday the US wanted to sabotage peace talks between the government and the Taliban.Speaking at a workshop here, he said the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan would be secured if the Taliban came into power in Afghanistan.

The minister asked the federal government to take back the raise in the prices of petroleum products and ensure halt to drone strikes. He said the US conceded defeat in Afghanistan and would soon withdraw its troops. Sirajul Haq said the provincial government was committed to eliminating corruption and bringing transparency in the recruitment process.


He said Pakistan had become a colony of the US due to the flawed policies of former president Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf and Pakistan People’s Party-led coalition government. Member National Assembly Sher Akbar Khan, Provincial Minister for Ushr and Zakat Habibur Rehman Khan and Ghulam Mustafa also spoke on the occasion.
