PESHAWAR: Vice-Chancellors of the public sector universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday thanked the Chief Minister Pervez Khattak for bailing out the Gomal University.
A meeting to this effect was held in the University of Peshawar to follow up with the meeting of all Pakistan Vice-Chancellors meeting held in Islamabad on September 22.The Vice-Chancellors discussed multiple problems being faced by the universities.
They expressed their concern over the financial issues of the universities and thanked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak for approval of ‘bridge financining package’ to steer out the Gomal University Dera Ismail Khan of the financial crisis.
They decided to seek an audience with the chief minister to apprise him of the problems bedevilling the universities in the province and seek his support and guidance to address these problems.
