Pakistan-US relations are improving, says Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States, Jalil Abbas Jilani. He was addressing the faculty and participants of National War College 2014 in Washington. He identified a number of areas, where the US assistance benefited Pakistan and led to a positive public appreciation.
Ambassador Jilani highlighted the social transformation taking place in Pakistan due to a successful democratic transition, independent media, a vibrant civil society and an active judiciary. He said that Pakistan has contributed to the conduct of peaceful Afghan elections and will positively engage with the new government in Afghanistan.
