Friday, October 04, 2013 - Peshawar: The 9th edition of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inter-District Football Championship will commence on Oct 23, here at Sumbal Khan ground, Qayyum Sports Complex.
This was stated by Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Football Association and for national footballer Basit Kamal while talking to APP here on Thursday.
He said a total of 14 districts teams from all across KP comprising Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Hungu, Kohat, Tank, Mardan, Swat, Buner, Malakand, Nowshera, Charsadda, Dir Upper and Dir Lower would take part.
He said it is an annual feature of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Football Association which carries handsome cash prizes for the winners and runners-up teams.
Basit Kamal said that NBP Regional Chief Atlas Khan will grace the occasion as a chief guest at the opening ceremony while Minister Sports KP Mehmood Khan will be the chief guest at the final and prize distribution ceremony.
