PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has called upon the PTI workers and office bearers to come forward for serving the masses sincerely and support the government in realizing the agenda of change being introduced under the dynamic leadership of PTI Chief Imran Khan.
He said that differences were considered a beauty of democracy but the PTI workers have to resolve mutual differences amicably and set themselves for gaining confidence of the people by serving them round the clock.
He was talking to the delegation of the office-bearers and workers of the PTI District Charsadda that called on him under the leadership of MPA Muhammad Arif and PTI District President to apprise him of certain organizational matters as well as problems being faced by the people of Charsadda, Tangi and Shabqadar tehsils.
The Chief Minister assured resolution of all these problems on priority basis and issued on the spot directives to the concerned quarters on some of them. However, he said that PTI has come at the helm of affairs with the prime aim of changing the traditional and status quo politics based on hypocrisy and improving performance of the departments.
The PTI workers also had to change and prepare themselves for coping with these circumstances. He said that the provincial government for the first time in history of the country was transferring most of its powers and resources to the local bodies.
The workers must organize themselves for local government elections and would thus prove both at national and international level that we belong to a movement that was endeavoring for converting the impossible into the possible through the agenda of change.
The Chief Minister said that the local government system being introduced by our provincial government would transfer 40% funds at district and tehsil levels besides the already available resources with the local bodies and all these huge amounts would be spent on the development schemes in a transparent and judicious manner.
He said that all the districts including Charsadda would receive additional funds of Rs.4.5 to 5 million that would be sufficient enough for timely and quality completion of developmental schemes. He said that the provincial government was closing all the leakages that caused corruption in the government machinery.
He said the jobs would not be sold in future and there will be supremacy of law and merit in future. "The out dated Thana and Patwar culture based on the exploitation of the people would be changed while all the social sectors including health and education were being transformed as per needs of the hour", he added saying that people would then receive full respect and relief on entering into government departments including police stations, patwar khanas and hospitals etc.
The Chief Minister while accepting invitation to visit Charsadda said that he would soon undertake official tours of all the districts where he would apprise himself of the progress made on the reforms introduced in government departments at district level and would also meet the workers.
