Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor seeks repatriation of Tirah IDPs by November 5

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Shaukatullah has directed the concerned authorities to ensure smooth and dignified repatriation of all IDPs of Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency by November 5, and make sure that they are fully facilitated and benefited of the incentives being offered to them for making this possible. 

Talking during a briefing on pace of progress achieved so far on repatriation of IDPs of the Tirah Valley at Governor's House here on Saturday, the Governor desired to maintain efficient state of co-ordination at every level in making the fulfilment of the responsibility to the desired standards. Additional Chief Secretary, Fata, Arbab Muhammad Arif accompanied by Political Agent, Khyber Agency and the Director, Fata Disaster Management Authority briefed the governor about the salient features of the progress achieved so far and future requirements in making this possible. 
After having a detailed account of the ground situation, the Governor further observed that keeping in view the ensuing weather conditions in Tirah Valley coupled with the immediate requirements for ensuring efficient rehabilitation of IDPs at their home places, "we need to ensure that they avail the opportunity of the incentives and facilities to the maximum extent and get them repatriated in maximum number before the target date." 

Referring to another point, the Governor was further of the view that since the areas, from where IDPs of Tirah Valley hailed, had already been opened therefore all the registered families at the camp should be fully facilitated to return to their home places. On a point, the Governor was also of the view to take necessary measures in making expeditious support of Federal Government possible for ensuring early repatriation of all IDPs hailing from different parts of Fata.
