Monday, October 28, 2013: Peshawar—Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Open Ranking Tennis Cup will commence from November 4 here at Tennis Courts of the Qayyum Sports Complex.
This was stated by President Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tennis Association Professor Dr. Tahir Khan while talking to APP here on Sunday.
He said all arrangements in this connection have been taken. Senior Vice President of the association Shahjehan Khan Shinwari, has been nominated as Chairman Tournament while Secretary Ayaz Khan will act as Organizing Secretary. He said that Cup, which is part of the annual calendar of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tennis Associaiton, is open for all.
Dr. Tahir Khan said that despite no funds, they are running the affairs of the Tennis in the province. He said the players would be given attractive trophies and cash prizes.
About the aim and objective of holding the event on regular basis. He said there is no dearth of talent and the players are very potential and can excel at national and international levels provided facilities to them.
