Peshawar to host T20 Peace Cricket match on Oct 13: Minister

PESHAWAR, Oct 10: Former and current Test cricketers will be seen in action as the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf Sports and Culture Forum will host a T20 game for peace at the Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium here on October 13. This was stated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Sports Mehmood Khan addressing a press conference here at Press Club on Thursday. The match will be played between Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Peace XI and Pakistan Peace XI, he added. 

He said the organizing committee headed by Chief Organizer Iftikhar Elahi comprising Abdul Khalid Khan with other members including Inzamam-ul-Haq, Rashid Latif, Wajahat Ullah Wasti, Yasir Hameed, former World Champion Qamar Zaman, Asif Orakzai, Ilyas Khalil and Mushtaq Khan has completed all arrangements in this connection and hopefully the match would produce great thrill for the Peshawarites to see top players in action. 

He said the match will start at 10 am and PTI Chief Imran Khan will grace the occasion as the chief guest.
He said the entry to the match would be free for the general public to witness their favorite cricketers. 
He said the renovation of the venue had also been completed. The match aims to bring back peace in Peshawar which has been damaged by acts of terrorism, Mehmood Khan added.
