PESHAWAR: Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said the US should be subjected to impeachment over what he termed the loss of innocent human lives in the unethical drone strikes. In a statement issued here today, the CM said the people of KP were paying the price of the inaction of the federal government in the form of terrorism. “The federal government should play its role towards putting the drone attacks to an end,” he demanded.
He said he was deeply concerned over the federal government’s delay in initiating the dialogue process with the Pakistani Taliban. This trend negates the mandate given to the federal government by the political parties, he regretted. Pervez Khattak said the government should not hold the proposed talks through media, demanding of the Prime Minister to take measures on war footing to formally launch the process of dialogue with the Taliban.
