BATKHELA: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home and Tribal Affairs Department Secretary Akhtar Ali Shah on Tuesday said state-of-the-art equipment would be made available to the Malakand Levies with the support of the federal and provincial governments.
Speaking at the passing-out parade of 225 personnel of the Malakand Levies at the Army Ground in Malakand Agency, he said every effort would be made to enhance the capacity of the Levies personnel. Earlier, Levies cops presented a guard of honour to the home secretary.
Commander of Malakand Taskforce Brigadier Ahmad Bilal Janjua, Lt Col Mohammad Islam, Chairperson of District Development Advisory Committee Nagina Khan, government officials and local elders were also present.Some of the recruits including Yasir Zaman, Mohsin Ali, Suleman Khan and Mohammad Sohail were given prizes for outstanding performance.
