PESHAWAR – Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi took the oath of office as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)'s new governor April 15, media reported.
Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel administered the oath at Governor House Peshawar.
Abbasi replaces Eng. Shaukatullah Khan, who resigned April 8.
Abbasi, a Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz (PML-N) leader from Hazara Division, served KP as chief minister and opposition leader in the provincial assembly before his appointment as governor.
